Roanoke Park - Raleigh, NC

Good things happen when you lift others up. 🎈

A few weeks ago, I saw that an online friend, Triangle Families Explore was having their grand opening of their new store, Little Oak Collective. One of the greatest positives I’ve found about this platform is the ability it gives us to connect and support others in our community, and in wanting to support this local mom-treprenuer, Ruth and I headed out to the grand opening celebration.

We were rewarded by not only seeing Little Oak’s amazing space firsthand, but also finding an absolutely amazing pocket park right across the street.

Roanoke Park is a small sliver of land between 2 residential streets, but it offers so much more. Including… and you’re not going to believe this… a plethora of riding toys like Cozy Coupes, tricycles, and scooters. These all live in the park permanently and are free and open to the public to use. This blows my mind. 🤯

Some other logistics:

• The park also has a small playground (with mulch), sand pit, swings, open field with a gazebo, and basketball court.

• Parking is on the street with no official lot. Drive around once or twice to find the best spot because one side is a bit steep to get down from the road to the playground.

• No bathrooms.

• Right next to Little Oak Collective!
