Historic Yates Mill Park - Raleigh, NC

We are so truly thankful for this beautiful piece of Earth we get to call home! We visited Wake County Parks' Historic Yates Mill Park today and had a fantastic time walking the boardwalks and trails. Bonus: we hardly saw anyone! Not that we don’t like people, but ya know, social distancing. Highly recommend this park for all ages, but especially toddlers. The boardwalks let you see so much wildlife and the trails we walked were generally flat and very do-able for little legs. Have a great weekend, everyone!

A few days ago, we posted about our first trip to Historic Yates Mill Park where we checked out the pond and wetlands boardwalks. We loved the park so much that we went back a few days letter to venture out to the mill building itself. The walk from the parking lot was very easy and we loved the views when we got there! Bonus - on a weekday, not many people were there and it was easy to social distance. We also took a little time to explore around the A.E. Finley Center, which we are looking forward to checking out when it reopens, and walk down the dock behind it. These photos are just a few we took, but there are multiple videos in our Yates Mill highlight so you can get a better idea of what the park has to offer. There are still plenty of trails that we haven’t even begun to explore yet, so I know we’ll be back!
