We’ve officially made it to Week 1 of the 2021 NFL football season, and we have a park to share that can get you in the spirit!

Earlier this year, Raleigh Parks celebrated the opening of the North Carolina Panthers Play 60 Challenge Course at Barwell Road Park. Let us tell you, this is probably one of the coolest parks in the Triangle. You can run an actual, timed 40-yard dash. You can test (and also time) your agility on the obstacle course. You can get a boost from the Panthers Pep Talk Station. You can take your very own Superstar photo. Or you can play on one of the other 2 awesome playground structures at the park.

Logistics:

• The park is located right by Barwell Elementary School, and there seemed to be no designated parking lot. We went on a weekday and parked on the side of the road since signs indicated no parking was available at the school on school days.

• We did not see bathrooms.

• Water fountain and bottle filler available.

• Picnic tables and benches available, some with umbrella coverage.

• Playgrounds have the squishy ground; agility course is astroturf.
